"overview"
“ALBERTON” is a large textile company that existed from the late 19th to the early 20th century,
coinciding with the industrial development in the United States.
One of its key players was duck fabric, which supported all industries.
The iconic "U.S ARMY DUCK" is also part of the heritage of duck fabric.
In order to pay homage to the bygone era and advancements in technology
and to infuse new value, ALBERTON® was established as a fabric brand in Japan
by textile producers in 2016, reconstructing duck fabric
while maintaining the specifications of that time.
The fabric is woven using slub yarn and antique power looms at high density,
combining an antique feel with strength as its defining features.
The fabric is treated with paraffin wax, offering high-density water repellency
along with additional water repellency, making it suitable for modern outdoor activities.
